I Crave Solitude

I guess it takes complete boredom to bring me back to blogging. But it has happened. I have just started a new job and I happen to have more free time than I thought I would. I hope to be busy soon but this first initial week has become tortorous.....hence the return to blogging. But here is a thing that I have realized about myself. I love my solitude!!! To the point where I crave it. I love to socialize but I feel during the week days once I am home this should be my time. I never realized how protective I am of this time until it was encroached upon.
Last night was a time that I would like nothing better than to put on my robe pop some popcorn and curl up for the coming back of one of my all time favorite shows, Criminal Minds. I had been looking forward to this all week and when 9:20 rolled around (just enough time to finish the show when it started without having to endure commercials. Thank you DVR!) I was ready.
It started and the first ten minutes were glorious and then disaster struck. I heard them coming up the stairs and I though okay quick drink then they will be gone. Oh no too much to ask they proceeded to have a deep discussion behind me for the next 20 minutes.

So much for solitude but it was my reaction to this that had me come to a realization about myself i need this time to restore my sanity. It is a true enjoyment and it doesnt have to be a T.V. show just relaxing in my room and reading is enough but this time is needed for me. I guess I would have to classify myself as an intravirt extravirt. I love both but need both to keep me happy. And that is my #1 concern.
