We all know what's like to have down time at work. My work is a rollercoaster of stuff to do. I either have tons to do and am running around trying to accomplish it all in one day. Then there are the times that come where I just have to pass the time. Make it through a dragging 8 hours as I glance at the clock every five minutes hoping that it is at least lunch time. Now I was thinking about this today and I am one lucky worker. I find myself pitying people who were at a job like this 15 plus years ago. What in the world did they do with their time with out the Internet????? I think I would go insane without this outlet for my idle time. I find myself thinking what I can look up today. And how much can I get accomplished with the touch of a button.
I've discovered the beauty of it these pass two weeks. I have planned a beach trip over it and am currently planning a team party using it. It truly was passing notes in a classroom for me all day. I go to wikipedia frequently to keep up the some learning. I mean it is a world at my fingertips. I mean there are sometimes I believe there is nothing else to look at until I have another dilemma like what should my band name be? Solution Google, online band maker and there it is a Band Name Generator right in front of me. Given I didn't actually use any of the names but it was good entertainment for a while. The fact remains that if it wasn't for this little fact I may have quit my job to become a Pizza Delivery person because at least I'm doing something. So thank you technology for making my life more enjoyable and thank you Google for having a solution for almost every question!!!
